Transportable frames built from timber, to temporarily inhabit vacant buildings.

Project studied for the competition From Border to Home focusing on the shortage of temporary housing for asylum seekers. 

The project focuses on vacant office buildings where repurposing can be an ecologically sustainable alternative to demolition and rebuilding. 

The design is a system of furnished modules built in timber, ready to be plugged in existing vacant interior spaces. The frames can be arranged in different compositions according to the need.
